"Shellmótiđ í Eyjum" (The Shell football tournament in Westman Islands) is an annual football tournament for U10 boys and takes place in Westman islands, Iceland in the end of June each year. It has been running for 18 years. The name of the tournament comes from our main sponsor,
Shell in Iceland.
The tournament is with 96 teams, in four categories of 24 teams. Each category is divided into 4 groups with 6 teams each. Each team plays 5 matchs in rounds, one semifinal and one or two finals. A small indoor tournament is also part of the tournament, each team plays at least two matches, max four matches indoor.
Playing time is 2 x 15 minutes outdoor, with 5 minutes break in half time and 5 minutes brake to prepare next match. Indoor is played 1 x 5 minutes pr. match with special rules.

Evening fun in the sport hall for the boys.

Tournament finals during the day.

The closing ceremony in the evening is a big celebration.

Sleeping at matresses in school rooms during tournament.

2 tickets to swimming pool
Museum ticket.
Grill party on Saturday evening
For parents: a dance late on Friday night and special boat tour late on Saturday night.
All participats gets rewards and things for rememberance.
